• Unicode vs Preeti: which should you use?

  Use Unicode Nepali for almost everything: it displays correctly on every phone, computer and website. Use Preeti only when a document or form that already uses the Preeti font requires it.

• How to type difficult Nepali letters

  Type the sounds in order and the letters join by themselves: kra gives क्र, pra gives प्र, ksha gives क्ष and gya gives ज्ञ. Use M for anusvara (ं), NN for chandrabindu (ँ) and H for visarga (ः).

• How to add a Nepali keyboard on iPhone and iPad

  iPhone and iPad include a Nepali keyboard. Add it in Settings, then tap the globe key to switch between English and Nepali in any app.

  Yes. Kalimati is a Unicode Devanagari font. If your text is already Unicode Nepali, select it and choose Kalimati as the font. If your text is in Preeti, convert it to Unicode first, then choose Kalimati.

• Nepali on-screen keyboard in Windows 11 and 10

  Add the Nepali keyboard to Windows, switch to it, then press Windows key + Ctrl + O. The On-Screen Keyboard shows the Nepali letters of the active layout, so you can click them with the mouse or tap them on a touch screen.

  Lipikaar is a keyboard app for typing Indian languages and Nepali on Android. Check Google Play for its current status. If it is not available on your device, Hamro Nepali Keyboard or the online Nepali keyboard in your browser will type Nepali too.
